Got the lens on sale recently (B&H) for $299 usd - want a couple of tiny lenses and got this as a first (probably a 35mm next).

AF is fast and accurate, very quiet, rendering is nice and smooth, very happy with this lens.

Highly recommend as a small lens option.

Very tempting 75mm FL from your images. I read the review and yes, it is a very good lens. But flexibility of zoom from 24-105mm makes me quite reluctant to use prime for specific FL. The review indicate it is light and small as well and that are the things I like about Samyang. I recently also got their AF 35mm F1.8 with the mode 1 and 2. Very nice lens also.

Great images and very tempting lens. I might be overtaken by my GAS. Cheers.

I assume the AF 35 1.8 lives up to its reviews?

I'm fighting off the GAS on that one.

Sony Alpha Blog also deemed the Yongnuo 35 f2 (which isn't in stock for a few weeks) to be a "Highly Recommended" budget option. At $235 usd it is also tempting.

It's very nice to have reasonable budget options!

The SY AF 35mm f1.8 will be my main street and indoor photography lens either on my A7R4 or my backup A7R2. It is really working very well as what the reviews had pointed out. "Weightless" as far as I am concern. Only issue is that as most prime lens, they have focus breathing problem (subject will enlarge or reduce in size when the focus point shift forward or backward - kind of a zoom effect when your refocus different part of the same still object). Thus I find prime not really suitable for Focus stacking. My main focus stacking lens is my main Sony 24-105mm F4. It works very well for focus stacking as it had zero focus breathing at all the FL.

So if GAS is troubling you, this might add fuel to it, I will let you rest and decide for yourself. I am facing GAS for the SY 75mm f1.8 after reading the reviews, but will try to hold it off first, as I am considering trying out the Tamron 28-200mm first. So I am also needing rest to cool off. Haha. Cheers.
