***This week with your a7x/a9x, Jan 9th - 15th, 2021***

I rarely post more than a few images, but cold weather and heavy snowfall enabled me to capture a lot of interesting winter images. Which do you like most?

All very nice, but if I had to pick one it'd be this one. Your B&W processing is very good - the snow pops as white without seeming overblown, and the dark tones have a lovely gradation.

We have similar issues with little bits of foliage sticking out of the foreground snow here - it can make getting a non-messy foreground really tricky. I might be tempted to clone out the largest one poking into the lower-right of the frame, but the others are quite pleasing.
Your observations on both images are spot on!

Great image. I like how the elements are placed in "layers", giving a sense of depth. Nice work!!!

Nice capture 🙂

Conscious that we were likely to go into a strict lockdown imminently, we were determined to go for a first (and likely final, in the near-term) walk in the Yorkshire Dales. The initially-promising weather got gloomier and greyer as we neared our destination - and I forgot my outer coat!

Then it began to snow... but actually, it all worked out pretty well. The snow settled really well and transformed the landscape, and I didn't freeze to death!

Happy that it all works out well and you are alive enough to post them here - haha.

Nice series of images. Cheers.

Love these shots!

Thank you for the kind words!

Many excellent captures displayed this month. Here a a couple of my snaps while out walking the dog in the snow. Thanks for looking.

Shot this image when first locked down in March 2020 or thereabouts. With a bit of fine tuning I thought maybe it was worth an airing after all.

The dark months are beautiful for low light shooting, a landscape covered with snow and a low sun adds mood and color. Fingers getting terribly cold though, and my joints hurts. My body does not like winter as much as the rest of me.

Anyway; I got some shots to share.

Nice and natural color images. Happy you are still walking your dog. Cheers.

Excellent images, your Zesis Loxia 21mm and PP are getting very sharp and appealing images. Time and location are also very appropriately chosen. Great work. Cheers.
