I met a playmate at a party this weekend...and was impressed at how well my Stroboframe VH2000 controlled the shadows on her body. Here's the picture, all shot with my D100, 24-120VR, SB-80DX, and stroboframe VH2000:

Oh here's a shot of me in action...

What do you think of the VH2000 without the grip? I am thinking of getting flip-bracket, but I am considering which one to get.

Nice photo! :)

I prefer the VH2000 over the quickflip. The quickflip is way to cumbersome in the field. The VH2000 without the grip is just perfect. With the grip though, you need to cut a piece off the bottom of the bracket in order to properly utilize the vertical shutter release. The only thing I don't like about the VH2000 is that it makes your camera gear feel a bit more heavier. For the price though, I can't complain compared to the other alternatives.

Here's a close-up of my setup:

That's my lucky fisherman hat! I bought it at the flea market in Honolulu, because my head was getting so hot in the sun over in Hawaii.

I get all sorts of compliments from ladies about my hat actually!

Jonathan,

I have to s---can my Quickflip; it just doesn't cut it. I was looking at the Stroboframe Press-T bracket to use with my D1x. Have you tried that model of bracket? If so, any reason why you picked the VH2000 (other than price)?

Thanks.

And keep those shadowless shots of Ms. Electra coming. Please.

That's the song I hear when reading the posts.
BTW Jonathan, this wasn't the only good picture, was it?

No kidding, amateurs have no idea how cool you have to be to shoot such a high profile girl in such a situation. Many will fail, although it looks so easy to many.
Well done!
