Not quite sure why I like this shot so much. But I think it's partly a preference for darker tones, which gives the highlights more prominence -- the sky, the church and the railing would all lose out with more exposure...
you did indeed do pretty well! And it is an amazing camera.

You should have sat down and stuck head, arms, and legs to that side of the boundary line where their bared state is in line with regulations.
Thank you for the kind words.Looks like a great way and place to spend some time together.

Ducks tend to fly in straighter lines
A really nice set of pictures, of a lovely remote area. Thank you. Somewhere else I need to visit :-(Nancy, the dogs and I are camping in the big motorhome on some of the more remote islands of the Outer Banks for a month or so. Internet and cell service are very spotty, but I thought I'd try to post some pics taken in the first few days of our trip.
Nancy and Joy at sunset:
A wild horse (they run free on some islands):
Proof that you don't need to be Donald Trump to have a home right on the beach:
I keep forgetting. Must constantly be reminded....
What we spend most of our time doing - running Joy for miles and miles on the vast, empty beaches:
We try to get elderly and frail Chase out for an hour or so each day - he mostly just walks, but he seems to like getting a bit of exercise:
Set of the movie "Nights in Rodanthe" - now an actual inn.
Joy in action this morning. Nancy and I did about 8 miles - no doubt Joy did many times that.
View over the rim of an adult beverage right behind our camp last night as the sun went down:
More later if we can get internet access.
Greg
Looking forward to them!
