It's been a year since selling off my FF gear and going 100% micro 4/3. The only reason I did it was the weight and size difference. I carry my gear a lot and needed to lighten the load so after trying the em1.2 and 12-40 f2/8 for a couple weeks I was sold. I do miss some aspects of my FF setup but overall I'm very happy with my decision. Here are just a few shots from the year. This is by no means a FF vs 4/3 post, I appreciate both very much.

Nice set. I love m43 since it can do everything I want or need. I rarely shoot at high ISO and if noise is ever an issue I can run a raw file through DxO Prime noise and all is well

Excellent shots. I like #1 and the dog shot. I usually trave with just the 12-40 on my E-M1 II for almost a year now; after owning the Mark I for 5 year. My other favorite lens is the 45 1.8.

My favorites: last two pics and the 'family of duck(ling)'.

I like the whole collection of shots, but I don't get why the noise on the Heron shot at iso 800, is SO bad! Have you tried running it through DX0 Prime or Topaz etc? Perhaps others here with more expertise can analyze the noise pattern for a remedy...

More photos, please :)).

Seriously, nice work. Thanks for posting.

More photos please Eric!

Thanks for posting...Dan

Thanks for sharing, great results and #2 is outstanding!

Thanks for the kind comments, I appreciate that. As far as the noise on the heron shot I probably got a little too aggressive with the sharpening on that one. I'm still trying to find a consistent workflow and experimenting with what works and what doesn't. I'll keep shooting and keep learning 👍.

Great set you'shared.

With the available mFT pro grade lenses there is very little one can't do. The weight advantage if often mentioned as being the main reason for choosing this system but it's certainly not the only one.

Keep up traveling and enjoying your lightweight gear ;)

Very nice. I like the lake pics. I do regret not taking more photos at Lake Michigan this past winter.

Nice work, Joe. I switched 4 years ago and felt "reborn" as a photographer. More than just gears, the system became my muse. It's so compact and fun to use, I often call my EM1II my third eye :)

All are nice, but love the loon photo. Thanks for posting.
