I had great intentions of getting out with may bagful of 35's today and comparing them in the landscape, but mother nature had other ideas and we had snow and rain most of the day. Not one to let a day go to waste, I set up a quick still life and did a comparison shoot. To be fair, it's not really an apples to apples comparison. Each lens was shot at closest focus, wide open and at f8. I've posted the f8 images below. The end result is a little misleading. The Canon f2 35mm SSC Concave FD lens doesn't look so good due to having by far the closest focus and thus a much narrow depth of field. The only other adjustments to the image were to set the white point for each image using the same spot and cropping. If I were to redo this, I would use the same tripod location.

So there you have it. I have a Yashica ML 35mm on its way, but won't be here for a couple weeks. I'm eager to test it out.
