How are you liking your XT3?

Autofocus is much better. Otherwise I think the X-T2 is still very competitive.

Its been out for a while so a lot here would have some experience now in using one.

How are you finding it?

If you had an XT2 is it a noticeable upgrade from that?

Greg.
I personally love my X-T3, but my needs may be different than others. I really REALLY appreciate the new higher resolution viewfinder, as it makes manually focusing on macros so much easier now. Have not seen any image artifacts on this camera (yet) either, always clean Fuji color shots.

I appreciate the AF-C improvements the most and have made good use of it through birding

Still don't like the weak battery which wears out quickly using Boost mode and continuous AF-C

Also appreciate the beautiful EVF as compared to the now dull one on XT2

Video is also fun to use even though I'm no expert

Thinking about selling my XT2 to fund a second XT3

There's not much to gripe about

Oh, forgot about the lack of Custom memory function, a biggie for me, but this applies to all Fuji bodies

Cheers,

The more I use it, the more I love it.

Just completed my XF lens collections, I am satisfied with the performance and total weight/size.

Time to sell my Sony gears.

I now own a H1 and a T3

The T3mainly improved AF and AFC. In dim light the -3 EV sensitivity makes AF now effective even with F 5.6 aperture (the 18-135mm at 135mm)

AFs is faster wide tracking now is a reality same for face detection and eye detection (with the restriction of confusion when several close faces...)

Compared to H1 it looks a bit tiny, the paint is not as resistant, and some rear buttons are a bit too small and badly located (AF on rear button on top of the small grip, difficult to press) The shutter is much louder

The AF is not only faster but also more precise which results in more crispy results.

All in all, the T3 shows the continuous Fuji progression in terms of both IQ and performance

That said for allround dauly use i prefer the big H1, better comfort

Can't comment on it vs the X-T2, but the X-T3's are making me use my Sony kit less and less, which is concerning (in a good way).

AF seems to improve with every new model of mirrorless as its an evolving system.

I personally found the AF on the XT2 was more than enough for me.

Wow, good for you.

It must be the prettiest mirrorless camera on the market. Love that silver black colour scheme.

I sold my X-T2 to get the X-T3 and battery grip on the special sale offer. Still have my X-T1 because it is not worth the hassle of selling.

The X-T3 is Fujifilm's answer to the completion and the complaints about earlier versions. They nailed it! It is the best T series camera period.

It seems OK to me. I would not go back to my X-T2 at any rate.

Can anyone share the experience on the new shutter button of X-T3?

I tried it in the shop and found it really loose. I like the X-T3 and plan to buy it next year, but this new shutter button is kind of bothering me.

Will a soft release button improve the experience? to just like those on X-T2?

I've added soft release buttons to mine, but there is a lot of sideways wiggle to it (sort of feels like the button isn't screwed on properly).

Can't say I've found it noticeable when actually shooting mind.

It feels just like the one on XT2, a bit wiggly

Guess I'm used to it as a XT2 co-owner

The XH1 shutter design is tighter I reckon but I have no issues with the XT3's

I shoot a fair amount of sports/action which was my primary reason for upgrading from the X-T2 to the X-T3. Big gains there.

There is another feature that I'm enjoying that I didn't think I'd care about - the touchscreen. I occasionally use it for focusing, but really enjoy it for reviewing photos, especially since the embedded JPG in RAW has more resolution. Pinching to zoom and swiping for next/previous is efficient!

I'm not liking my X-T3 - I'm loving it!

The X-T3 is a superb camera. I came from a D500 another superb camera. The X-T3 is a lot of fun to use due to it's great ergonomics and retro controls. I've had it for over a month and am still learning week spots to avoid. This is not a ding, all cameras have week spots and we need to learn how to avoid and/or compensate for them.

I love mine. It's fast and has all of the Fuji detail I've come to know and love. The sensor seems pretty good, but I also picked up some new glass (56/1.2 and 16/1.4) and am finding that I'm getting the sharpest shots of my life. My X100F is jealous of all the attention the X-T3 is getting! I'm quite glad I decided to get one.

The XT3 is my the first Fuji I've owned since the 4700 zoom (which I really liked!). The XT3 replaced my D750.

I really like the XT3 SOOC JPEGs even though mainly a RAW shooter. Re RAWs, am happy enough with the high ISO noise. I appreciate that I've lost some DR (vs the D750) but am fine with the files (vs the much bigger hit when using a m43 cam). Love the Fuji glass (though also loved the Nikon glass). What I particularly like about the XT3 is it's weight and form factor. Finally, I find it wonderful that I can make some critical camera settings without having to turn on the camera. I feel that one key to my success with photography is to adjust the setting quickly so I can capture very transient situations.

The Fuji is an exceptional tool..and much fun to shoot with!
