I shot this at ISO 6400 on my trusty old (haha) X-T1, and pushed it another stop in post. You'd have to have been in the room to understand how dim the window light was. Slightly faulty technique aside (I wasn't holding steady enough) I'm amazed that I can get a usable shot at all under these circumstances.

That is a beautiful photo. may I ask which lens you used?
 
Yes, beautiful shot. The XT-1 is still a terrific camera (I have 3) and it's technology is like science fiction compared to what we had 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago etc. However even with the most advanced cameras today i.e. XT-3 or X-H1, the quality of one's photography rests more in the user's skill than with their gear.

90 f2. By far my favorite lens, when I have room to use it. :)
 
Yes - they are impressive tools. Nice shot by the OP.

This one was taken by the light of a phone and a fish tank.

X-M1, so same Series 1 X Sensor, 27mm f2.8, iso 3,200, 1/58 exposure - about at limit of hand holding for me.

When we're agonizing over the benefits of the X-T3 over the T2, or IS in the X-H1, we should remember that all the X bodies are really pretty darn impressive.

Makes me wonder why I upgraded from my X-E1 to an X-T100. And the X-E1 sits now, in a drawer...

The "upgrades" and "improvements" over the years haven't all been totally great either. There might still be some controversy about phase focus pixels in this forum, for example.

Fight the urge, if you feel like you need to get rid of your older camera right away.

When no exif is included with the file it always defaults to show 10000 sec on DPR.

I still have my X-E1, still use it on a regular basis. Image quality hasn't meaningfully improved in newer cameras, and it's just as satisfying to use as when I first got it.

Not that I'd turn down a free X-T3, mind you..

Yes indeed. In most instances, skill still beats gear. Having said that, I would be interested in the next generation of Fuji's IBIS in the X-H2 whenever that is. Not that I need all the bells and whistles and pixels of the H2 but I do shoot with a lot of manual vintage glass and the IBIS would be interesting to try. Especially since I just picked up a beautiful old Nikon 800mm lens.
