A stunning picture!

Commemorating first car to be driven to the top of Ben Nevis mountain in 1911.

No mention if it came down again :)

Fort William, Scotland.
Not only did it drive back down but ther is film of it doing so. What's more, in 2011 after permission was not given to fly a model T to the summit, a scale model was built, dismantled and carried to the summit where it was reassembled and later brought back down again.

The sky is full of holes that let the rain get in, the holes are very small - that's why the rain is thin.

Nice work Dave, particularly the church behind the Autumn leaves.

Looked at this when I awoke this morning and gave it a "like." Upon further examination I think it deserves its own wall!

The 90mm is a perfect portrait lens. The first of those two pictures is better IMO. The 18-55 did well too.

Vic

All the lenses performed well but perhaps a smaller aperture for the 90mm? The 300mm with Fringer shows their capabilities together but I feel the shutter is too fast and the car looks static in that one. All the same, a successful day's shooting I'd say.

More from sorting through older files.

This area is about 3 miles from my home and sits along a bike path. On my return home (on the bike) I came across this and grabbed the X-T1/10-24 and returned just before the Sun set.

I was going to ask what the red was! You don't run out of light with that setup Gil. Have you shot action with it yet and how happy are you with that camera/lens setup?

Vic

Really good set, especially the first.

Vic

It looks very sumptuous Dave especially the last two with warmer light.

Vic

Sharply captured images. It looks like the X2.0 TC works better with the 50-140mm f2.8 than it does with the 100-400mm.

Vic
Thanks Vic

Not sure what you meant by better but AFC is still quite adequate in terms of performance, and I saw less CA; IQ is not diminished by much

With the 100-400 of course the AF struggles a bit more due to the dim aperture

With the TC 1.4, things tend to be on par with the native lenses

Sorry about the lack of surf in the first shot Vic! :-P

You can see some 4-6ft sets coming ashore in the background on this shot :-)

The background... to the left of the model... the blue and white bits! :D :D :D

The GFX50S continues to make me very happy - the transition from X-Series has been seamless, and I think there will be many more MF shooters with the new GFX50R body launch.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it arguing about camera features - go out and capture memories

Nicely captured... great shots. My owling buddy and I have been looking for one of these little guys for a couple of years now here in the Northwest woods... so far, no luck, but we keep hoping.
Thanks Jerry !

So I guess I was quite lucky then ! As these were shot in one of Québec City parks, just a couple of kilometers from downtown on one of my first outing with the T3 + XF200 combo.

And I have to admit that I'm not the one who spotted the little fellow, nope, half a dozen birders and photographers were already busy taking turn for the best shooting spots.

Here's one more from another angle

Hi Bob,

too bad the eagle is so obstructed. The snow seen is lovely

I have a 2 acre field out back, I could sit in the shade with a glass of wine and cut the field :-)
