*Please reply to the original post but change the title to reflect the subject of your image(s) so that your post starts a new section.

*If you can provide details on the subject, camera, settings and processing, that would be great for people reviewing the images. *If you have more than 10+ images to share, please break them up into more than 1 posting.

All of you with your new x-t3’s let us see your cat and block wall photos!!!! -Jit will give me GAS but I blew all my discretionary cash for a crazy car!.........and darn pleased I did! All your cams are capable of getting a great photo so post away!!!!

Thanks for all participation whether seasoned pro or beginner.

Hello Everyone,

Either I’m being lazy or just reminiscing with some images taken years ago with the Fuji S5Pro. It “was” a time when rich, natural color and tonality were supplanting pixel-peeping though one could not avoid doing so to determine the state of the art in sensor tech. Fuji was doing some nice magic and some of us had the pleasure of partaking. (I still have my very functional S5…….as a matter of fact I own 2! Needed them for some gigs and never sold them off.)

The post last week was from Yellowstone and Bryce. This week one from Bryce and 2 from Cedar Breaks N.P.

Traveling up the hill East from Cedar City, Utah, is a lengthy climb (in the summer) from 5800 ft. to nearly 10,000 feet to what is a mini Bryce Canyon. Similar rock formations encompass a circque with a viewing area peering west. The following pano gives you a hint of what it looks like from a roped off area:

Walking a ways to the left and looking back yields a good view of the brilliant red rock formations:

The last is one more from Bryce after that thunderstorm when the sunlight was mostly filtered. The rock formations are plentiful and varied like the one below in this 3-image pano:

Mesmerizing areas with a photo op at every turn. Worthwhile visiting and more images from Utah to follow in the future.

Lastly for most Americans this week is a time to give thanks and at this moment I wish to give thanks to all of the members here on the forum who contribute their wonderful work to make this thread a joy to host and even a greater joy to watch. Seeing images from all over the world is invigorating but also increases the size of the “bucket list.” So… keep em coming so we can all add places to visit……

Enjoy the week….

Bob

Took this one this morning, just a few minutes after sunrise. Probably could have used a hard grad filter on this, instead of trying to recover the blown highlights in LR.

Very dramatic.

The monochrome is my fave.

What lens mount converter did you use? I have a bunch of Sigma SA lenses I'd like to use on my Fuji XE-x cameras.

Lovely warm light and atmospheric composition perfectly exposed. Was this converted from raw or a JPEG from the camera?

Thanks Jon :). It's from a raw file edited in Lightroom.

I headed to Big John's Pond at Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge to photograph the birds during Thursday's Nor'easter here in New York City. Light snow began as I walked to the East Pond Blind and by the time I was setup the snow was falling at a good rate. The wind was out of the east and I was facing east so the snow was coming through the blind windows making it a challenge to look out and also to keep snow from striking the front of my lens. The birds were getting around yet most people in NYC were not as two 20+ car accidents on the George Washington Bridge quickly backed up through the city trapping the salt spreaders and plows in traffic so the snow simply built up making the evening commute horrific for all but those that only used the subway. My usual 30 minute commute home from Jamaica Bay took 1.5 hours.
