With the introduction of Capture One 11.3 two new running modes are added for a specific camera brand: Fujifilm.

Capture One Express Fujifilm (free) and Capture One Pro Fujifilm (paid, subscription) are now available.

Similar to the Sony modes the Express mode has a limited feature set but with the same well-known image quality. The Pro mode adds many features like layers and tethered support.

Interesting news is the support of the Fujifilm GFX 50S.

That's great news for Fuji users, I guess.

I don't see the non-subscription Pro for Fuji version... The subscription is only 21 euros cheaper than the normal Pro license, so it's not that attractive.

Nice.

Are they rolled into one program, so If you have Capture One Express you can process both Fuji and Sony RAW files?
It seems that I can now open a RAF file using my C1 for Sony. Great news!

The next thing is to ask C1 to add Olympus in order to cover all my cameras for free.

Weird, I can open it, but can't make any changes.

I had to uninstall, then reinstall and select C1E for Fuji during launch to be able to process the RAWs.

Correct! No changes allowed.

Now need to play with C1 for Fuji. Will be a bit stupid to keep both versions!

It doesn't make sense, there is no difference between the programs or the installers.

Apparently they don't want us using two brands with Capture One for free, or something. :-)

I don't think there should be a need to uninstall -- just change your license in the Help menu.

Oh wow, I didn't know that. Thanks.

That makes it even more weird, all that is needed is to change the license from the menu, so then why don't they allow processing of both brands in the same license?

There doesn't appear to be any reason or logic behind it, besides making it more difficult.

How exactly? What I see in the Help/License Information section is 'Stop Running Express Sony'.

Yes just click that, and relaunch, it will then ask you to change your license.

Right. So you can trial the regular Pro version for 30 days and then when it expires you can choose one of the Express versions. When there's a new point release of C1, the trial period should be available to you again.

Thanks - it works!

Getting interesting if I can also buy e.g. C1 Pro for Sony and switch to Pro for Fuji and back when needed!

Unfortunately it looks like Pro for Fuji is only available on a subscription... Price of Pro for Sony has also skyrocketed since the announcement - from £89 to over £200...

I have just tried C1 Express for Fuji and have one question concerning the limitations of this free Version compared to the paid one.

In the paid version it is possible to set (import) defaults for the base characteristics tool panel. You can change the icc profile and curve, go to the three horizontal dots at the right and choose: set to default. This setting will be applied to every new photo taken with the same camera. I can not find these dots in the free Express Fuji version ?

Any idea if I am doing something wrong, or if this Important feature is missing in the free Fuji version ?

If this function does not exists, it would be very disappointing 😩

It is free. If you think that it is good then you can buy with confidence

Thanks Ian, but that does not answer my question.

Is it correct that the "save as default" function is missing ? If so, is there a workaround for this feature in C1 FUJI Express ?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Just downloaded it, now I need some time to try it . . .
