I could say the same as you, but instead I purchased a 10 year old medium format digital back. I knew a new Nikon camera was going to be announced but I had a chance to buy a digital back for my Hasselblad camera for a lot less money than what the new camera (D850) would cost. It has almost half the pixels of the D850, is slower than the D850, doesn't do anything close as to what the D850 is able to do, but you know, I'm completely satisfied with the results and I'm happy with the purchase. I like the idea I can say I purchased a $30,000 digital back, even though that was how much it cost 10 years (or more) ago.
Sorry for the late response. Phase One P25.Which back did you get?
Lol. I am too. I am using my D610, but it has good shutter activations, now a bit worried about its longevity re shutter crapping out, so looking around eyeing what is available as a second camera / backup....Because I'm cheap!!!

I second that -- writing from the rainy pacific northwest. Really itching to get out there for birds and long exposure landscapes. Thanks Benjamin, I'm looking forward to really getting out with it when the the warm weather returns and it's back to the beach...
