Problem with Ink banding on margins with Canon Pixma Pro 100

Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this? I get these weird side bands on the side of my prints. The printer is extremely new and the first couple prints were fine until it started to do this... It seems pretty intentional so I don't think anything is dirty. The print itself is super gorgeous it's just these annoying bands on the sides. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you run a nozzle check? Thats the first thing I would do.
 
So I can understand better. It’s a deliberate red “frame” effect but should be solid red and not striped?
 
Hmm.... I just bought the Pro 100s last week and having the exact same problem. It is as though the printer has a page set-up conflict as it's re-scaling the image and printinting these stripes along the edges. Driving me nuts!
 
Give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON.
 
Well it's not supposed to be part of my print, I say deliberate because it doesn't look like a smudge, I'm not sure what its supposed to be but it's not supposed to be there at all.

If it is not supposed to be there at all, I would suspect the software that you are using to add the deckle edge border is also adding this one. Just a SWAG. It looks like an added frame.

I had a problem with banding on on side, when I use print studio pro.

Do you use a printing sw (PSP, Mirage?)?
With sw do you use for your pictures? Photoshop?

Are all prints? All formats affected?

So after an hour on the phone to Canon, whose only solution appeared to be to install My Image Garden (!) and try again, I ditched Print Studio Pro and printed directly from Photoshop allowing the printer to manage colour. Result: no more image distortion, no more banding.
 
As I said, this is a problem of print studio pro. Perhaps the update will fix it.
