Up for sell, my well used and loved f/2.8 kit. My 28-70 and 70-200
Sigma 28-70 f/2.8 EX DG-D
Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 APO HSM II Macro
I have used both of these lenses extensively since 2008, I take great care of my gear, but both lenses show signs of use with semi faded rubber, and brass worn lens mounts.
The good:
Optics are in fantastic shape with no visible scratches, or blemishes.
No mold, zoom is smooth, and focus is smooth on both lenses.
Auto focus is quick and quiet on the 70-200 (True Ultra Sonic motor)
Both have fantastic performance above f/4
The bad:
28-70 is a gear driven AF lens, you must have a body with a drive motor for AF, AF is as fast as the body is.
28-70 will exhibit zoom creep shooting above 45° elevation, this is a well used lens.
28-70 is soft at f/2.8
70-200 when looking through the front element with the right light, there appears tiny tiny bubbles in the glass, does not appear to affect IQ
70-200 will not live view AF, this is a firmware issue, the lens is too old for Sigma to fix this. (View finder AF is near instant, and accurate)
