When I see a double blind test that demonstrates this, I'm in. Until then, it was, is, and will be utter BS concocted by shooters who got sucked in to spending huge amounts of money on jewelry that records images.
Clearly Leica envy here....
Nope. I've shot them, and owned an M6 for quite a while. The M6 was one of my favorites. If I wanted one, I'd have one.
That said, why can't you post a few photos that illustrate this so-called "look?"
Fair enough, I falsely assumed the "Leica Look" was something that everyone just sorta new. But in looking for pictures that accurately portray this "look" it was clear to me that there isn't any one style that encompasses it. You sorta just know. I should also add that I did a search for Leica photos and there were quite a few leica shots that did not have that 'look' and I am including some shots from other cameras that do have the look.

Taken with a Sony, but I like the subject and the depth of the photo.

This is a Leica camera, again the depth...

this is an example of something close to the look.

this the Leica Look in its entirety, BW, portrait, rustic/old, not quite sharp, depth

Depth and this picture just moves me, can't explain it.

Story, Depth, Life... also taken on a Sony.

Ok, just kidding....
