After reading the lens rental review of the Tamron 70-200 I'm thinking of getting that lens instead of the Canon.

Specs and testing look good and for the price I'm really interested. I don't want this to be "only canon is good", looking for just an opinion if you used the Tamron G2 version. I have 2 Tamron lenses and am very impressed with them.
 
Think about how important fast apertures are to you.

I just am on my way to pick up the Canon 70 - 300 IS II for 25% of the price of a 70-200 2.8.

As for the Tamron... I've been watching Youtube reviews and I am pretty sure I'd get the Tamron rather than the Canon.

I already have the 70-300L. My daughter rides horses and I need a fast lens for indoor fast shutter shots. So I need F2.8 :(
