I have a 1Ds and love it. I will try to keep for a while. However, if a
lighter weight model comes out I would consider it. I carry my equipment
a lot. Of course this would include a long consult with my wife. I take
mostly stock travel images.

I am here, but only because I am waiting for the 1D replacement. If I keep quiet and not post and cat or ruler photos, I suspect I can stay below the radar. Unless of course I am asked for my opinion as in this case. :-)

Hi,

I've been checking in fairly infrequently as of late. There was too high a noise floor in the old Canon SLR Talk forum for this 1D shooter. ;) It was difficult to wade through it all looking for 1D and 1Ds threads.

I figured that Phil would eventually get 'round to splitting it up. The announcement of the new entry level DSLR must have been the impetus for ths split. ;)

After all, there was once a time when all DSLR users, regardless of make or model, had only the Pro Digital Talk forum to chat in. Slowly, that split up into Nikon, Canon, Fuji, and (last) Kodak ones.

So, now I can return to checking in during times when I'm waiting for things to 'finish up'. ;)

1Ds here and loving it....Killer camera.....Using it with my D30...Wanna add a 1D too when it drops in price....I don't need the speed for my style but can't hurt to have it and they both share the same battery and compliment each other.
