Today was sunny, cold winterday in Helsinki...

Really nice fresh weather(-20C below zero) to walk with K-1 ;-)

...Icy sightseeing, Now "frozen" in Place...

Mist made a magical atmosphere..

I do not know whether it was a magical mist or what, but I saw some weird stuff ...

..I saw RoboMammoth, now extinct species (there was not enough electricity charging spots in time)

..I saw snow ship (that sailed the waves of snow), I thought hearing that the captain shouted: "icebergs in sight!"...

I saw a comfortable cottage for rent, stylist's touch was visible both indoors and outdoors. Comes with a stately antenna that allows you to hear the extraterrestrial transmissions...

Anyway, It was an interesting and enjoyable walking!

Very cool shots, Ari! Pun intended.

Love the landlocked boat and the mists.
 
Great photos, bring back memories.

I was there in 2008, the inside of that orthodox cerkiew is magnificent,

and we had +43 here in Perth couple days ago, so cool to look at cool pictures.

I really like your PP work...Frankly, I was tired and my eyes were tired last night when I was doing my PP job quickly. And I was not satisfied with my picture's WB and colours.

You used Photoshop with this?

I'm glad that you like it.

Yep, it was much easier to maintain some tones in this BW version. At least some elements - like fog - looked better in my eyes.

Warm is nice, but not in winter time. Now I am satisfied that here is below zero and some snow at least.

Thank you Valeriu! I'll take care of myself. Today I am inside only and drink some warm mulled wine. I already feel warm and comfortable. What could be better than to have a warm home, and look at the window of the snow storm and freezing temperatures?

Dear Ari , here it is very, very cold (-20-25 C ). Many people do not have shelter, many can not leave the house because they have great snow who isolated villages, doors and windows.
Many old people will die, because the young are left to work abroad.

Are dozens of village in the country, where several days have no electricity.

Hi Ari:

The DA 55-300 appears to work well with the K1. I have the original DA 55-300 plastic fantastic and optically it is also quite good. Weather looks similar to here in Canada right now.
