Nikon Rumors are reporting these two lenses should be announced before the Photo Plus show in New York (October 20-22).

I am closely following the release of the Nikkor PC 19mm f/4E ED. I currently own the 24mm f/3.5D and was seriously considering selling all my Nikon gear to move over to Sony so I could utilise the Canon 17mm T/S f/4, as I have found that I have been limited a number of times due to the 24mm not being wide enough.

Now I can just upgrade my camera from a D700 to the D810, upgrade my my 70-200 f2.8 VR1 and save a bit of money as I will just keep all my other lenses.

Wow, looking at all those lovely elements, let me be first to announce that TAP will pronounce both new lenses flat, lacking micro contrast and lack colour saturation. If they are made in China, they will be expensive chew toys and that Nikon should be ashamed of themselves. They will be purchased by the same type of person that buys a 4 wheel drive just so as they can it to go to the shops, blah, blah, blah.

You won't even need to watch his video as we all know what he will say.

The 19mm TS is long overdue and a welcomed addition. As far as the 70-200, I am curious to see what Nikon has changed in this lens. I assume the focus breathing will be addressed and it will feature updated VR even though the VR on the current lens is excellent. I'm not clear of the compelling reason for a redesign.

IF the PC 19 is competitively priced this is what I have been waiting for.

I have given the 20 1.8 serious thought but the pc 19 is really what I was looking for.

Now if you adjust the angle of the tilt and shift independently unlike the PC24 pc 45 and pc 85 without dismantling or sending off I may find the 19 PC in my bag very soon.

Very valid point. That is very much an annoyance and a compromise.

Either way there is only 2 authoritive reviewers that I know of (Others may know more) and they are DxOMark and Photozone.de. If they rate it, thern I will most likely buy it.

The same type of AF improvement that the 24-70 VR bears would be an obvious change too.
