Lets see your BEE's

First, some really great photo's at your site. I mean really incredible macros.

Second, do you have nightmares ??? :-) I would get the willies looking at all those creatures in the viewfinder.
 
Actually, I wan't going for the bee at all, and he chased my flutterby away:



This was with my D60 and 300/4L IS, handheld at f/13 and ISO 400. Don't remember the speed.
 
That's a Mud Daubber.

They make their nests out of mud, stuff the chambers with the paralyzed victims, lay the egg and close the chamber up.

Here's the macabre part, the larve emerges and eats the live, paralyzed prey as it provides fresh food for the developing larvae.
