Would be great if you specified which of the 7 different model/size Think Tank Retrospective bags you have. ;-) Do you want the camera and lens mounted together or packed separated? Lens hood mounted, reversed, or left home?would be great if someone could measure
Does your D750 + 70-200 f/4 fit? The 5D IV is about the same size as the D750, the EF 70-200 f2.8L II IS USM is about 3/4 inches longer and 1/2 inch wider than the Nikon 70-200 f/4G.

it is the retrospective 7. mounted would be perfect - thats how i carry my nikon right now... There is still some space left .. About 3-4 inch to 1...(width.. Camera lying on its side and can be easily pulled out). I'm just concerned that it may be a very tight fit

Have you tried going to Canon Site, and look at the Specs for the 5D M IV and 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II measurements to determine total length?

If you go on ThinkTank's website they give examples of the kind of gear you can fit in each of their bags.
In any case, I seriously doubt you can fit a 5d4 + 70-200 2.8 in a retrospective 7. IIRC the only bag in that line that is deep enough for that combo is the retrospective 20.
