It arrived today - like an hour ago.

I ran outside and took a dozen or so really fast test shots. I LOVE this lens so far, and if it tests well, I will probably keep it on the camera 90% of the time. I use this camera as a travel, street, candid, inside the cafe sort of thing.

I did encounter a bit of slow focusing occasionally but I might have been too close to some subjects.

Here's one image that I did do some editing (NIK HDR Efex Pro 2) because I just got that too and couldn't resist.

Take a field trip to the Truckee River in downtown Reno today for further testing.

Yeah, well, it was my first time out with the lens for about 15 minutes total. Patience, my friend!

Hey there, congrats for the lens. Hope it fits your needs!

I have a question for you that keeps me from buying this lens until answered:

Does this use the full pdaf points from the a600? Or just thee central group?

thnks in advance.

Full PDAF and all other focus points including eye af.

It looks like it does have full pdaf across then entire frame.

If you look at the video at the bottom of this thread it says (and shows) it does.

When you get a chance please test on some fast moving subjects like kids. I find I'm always on full auto snapping away at my rugrat bouncing from place to place. My 50mm is getting way to narrow.

Im still torn between this the 28 24 (can't afford)

No kids around anymore but found this guy today. This is cropped quite a bit but minimal PP. I shot in burst mode. I was probably 40-50 yards away.

Did he survive?

Well my 30mm f/1.4 arrived today.

All seems great...I couldn't find any focusing problems at f/2 as reported elsewhere.

And f/1.4 seems pretty decent.

It worked without updating the a6000. I updated it anyway. Great lens best bang for buck besides the 50mm. Build quality is really good. 4 year warranty!

Only downside its a big sucker.

Nope! I'm still on 1.0
