Hi

While my family and I were vacationing in Yosemite, I was able to get out early trying to take some shots. The weather was not great but I tried anyway since our stay there was short.

The picture below was taken @ Tunnel View with a 70-200mm lens.

I like the composition very much, but it seems to have a strange purple hue.

Could you identify the waterfall ? Looks to me like the upper part of Yosemite Falls.

Despite Steve Franklin's recent rant (on the Open Forum) about too many waterfall images, I offer my Yosemite waterfall. This is the Vernal Fall on the Merced river.

Albert, I think it was upper Yosemite.

Great closeup of Bridalveil Falls Duy. I agree with the comment about it being to purplish though, and it is an easy fix. I also increased detail a little.

Thanks David

The fixed version looks better. With this version, the focus is now on the beautiful waterfall.

Vastly improved, good job Mr Nall.

Duy, It's good to get into the habit of checking for colour casts before presenting your pictures.

Bad casts are duffer number 2 of otherwise decent photos, (2nd to dust spots). As you also see the benefits of David's adjustment then it's not your monitor to blame! But if your eyes aren't that tuned to seeing tones then use the tools in your editing software instead. It's easily done, often a one click job :)

Oh, and indeed now I can comment: Nice shot (despite it being another waterfall :p )

At least he didn't use the silky water shutter speed! ;-)

If you ever get a chance to hike the Mist Trail to Vernal Falls, I highly recommend it!

The re-processed version is very appealing. I can't get enough waterfalls - I'm a sucker for landscapes. Good shot.

My brain just does not want to see all that purple, so I pulled almost all of it out. Nice shot!

Thanks NearerNirvana

Nothing to blame except my eyes.
