5D MK IV? 6D MK II? Don't believe it!

For me, with the 5DS and 5DR, Canon close the 5D MK IV.

The name of the new 5D MK IV will be 6DR.

Same for 6D MK II. The name will be 6DS.

5DS/R - D810

6DR - D750

6DS - D610.

Yes, but the name here is important because, for me, the new 5D MK IV is the 5DS/R.

Now is time for a camera(s) under 2000€ and this is 6D Series.

names are not important

The 5D line refear to a semi pro body. The 6D line is a lighter , cheaper version.

May be there won't be any 5dmk4, but a 5dx . X, for action.

the 6d, will be the 6dmk2. I doubt that Canon will split this line in 2 models

why would they do that?

6DR versus S?

6D I doubt would ever split into a studio line.

and nor is there any indication they would keep the 6D Monikor but have significantly different ergonomics and capabilities.

I don't think so. The mythical 5D IV (X) already has a tremendous built-in market demand for a new mid-range pro camera. From a simple marketing standpoint it would be a dippy move.

The 6D is a great, great amateur line, in some ways slightly superior to the 5D III, but it has a rep of being lighter, cheaper, less rugged and less weather sealed. Not putting it down--that would be my go-to camera choice if I didn't shoot for a living.

My idea is about resolution.

5DS/R - 50MPs

6DS/R - +/-30MPs

Why not 3D name for 5DS/R?
5D IV, 5DS, 5DS R... to much 5D... for what?

And prices?
Until A7 Sony Series is Canon vs Nikon.

Now a new kid on the block comes and whith very high quality features.

Of course I don't know but big news are coming in the Canon line. Have to!

for starters .. have you even LOOKED at these cameras?

you DO realize the 6D ergonomics are entirely different than the 5D .. right?

Seems we all have been waiting for a while, and that make us "loose it", creating myths and legends just to make our minds handle how Canon doesn´t care.
