You have an amazing gem there. I fell in love with CR. Snorkelling in the morning, wild howler monkeys in a tree on beach beside us later. Later horses and riders galloped on the beach and that evening was the horse parade in Coco for the festival and bull riding. Lots of cerveza for the riders and spectators.wonderful series pictures!!!!..... i love my country costa rica
Your photographed of´´ the Basilisco lizard or Jesucristo´´is an excellent portrait. I have tried so many times here to get a shot of it, and still no pictures.
Alex
Thanks. Like I told Alex I wish I had rented a car. We were with friends for about 20 days out of 30 and you don't get a lot of time to shoot on the tours. Now that I know the areas better I will explore it more and take more personal time to shoot.Well done Zee Char,
I would love to go to Costa Rica, and still hope to some day. Glad you bought your flash as well, as you already are getting very well exposed images with it and your Better Beamer. I particularly like the White Faced Monkey close up.
I am considering the 100-400 L II for next year. And the 7D II will happen sometime this year.
great set of pics.. super nice..
will be in Puntarenas, CR on March 8th but unfortunately only for the day on our 28 day Canal cruise.. been to CR many times in the past.. beautiful fascinating country.. wildlife.. flowers abound.. can't take enuff pics
last January we were on the East side of CR and Tortuguero for the day
Around between 10 and 30 ft. No. Not one seemed disturbed by it.Great shots!
How far away were you when you used the Beamer? Did the animals run off when the flash fired?
I took my 55-250 STM and it sat in the safe for the whole month. It is my light travel zoom. I'm glad I took my 100-400 but there would have been no doubt I would not have.Very nice shots Zee. Am going to CR for first time next month with the family on an "adventure" vacation for 7 days. From your shots it looks like my initial plan of taking my 70D and 100-400 are justified. Planned on also at least taking my SL1, 18-135 STM, and S95.
Since you have just been there, was wondering if this is what you would take given my gear list, or if you see other combos and additional items that would be better or as additions (would like to keep things pretty minimal and light)?
Others feel free to jump in also.
Also any recommendations on rain protection for the gear while shooting?
