latest LightRoom CC 2015 update destroys LR as a professional DAM. DO NOT LOAD THE UPDATE

Good to know although to be honest the change did not bother me a lot. It still did what I wanted it to do and I can't say I found the earlier version that fantastic either.
Yeah, I kind of feel the way you do, though some have a particular way of doing things that can weak havoc if changed or removed. Evidently Adobe got the message, though I've still not seen this purported update yet. So... perhaps I missed something?

Wow sorry to hear you had so much trouble, but glad you got it sorted out.

Anyway I wonder what happened to said update or did Adobe renege on their promise. I'll have to go back an see what gives.

Thanks.

Not only is the new import UI a joke, the upgrade rendered LR almost unusable for me.

Even cropping was so slow that it was no longer real time. I couldn't actually see the crop area as I was moving the mouse due to the massive lag time.

Also all other sliders are no longer real time due to the lag time.

I followed instructions from a knowledgeable user on the Adobe forums and deleted LR then re installed the older version and all is well again.

No issue with the photoshop upgrade though. This morning (prior to reinstalling the old LR version) I had to export every image for today's job to Photoshop just so I could edit.

Does anyone at Adobe actually test these things BEFORE they release them????
The issue with the Photoshop upgrade I have is that the plugins all disappear. What a hassle, and they did not used to disappear like that. What gives?

Can you be more specific?

What plugins?

From what version to what version did you upgrade to.

I also because it may be a simple matter of simply reinstalling the plugins. I had to reinstall my Nik software when I upgraded from PS CS6 to PS CC. Sometimes when you upgrade to different versions, you'll find you may need to reinstall your plugins. Had this happen with older versions as well.

Let us know.

Just received the new Adobe LR CC update today and can confirm the old (legacy) import panel is back. It's also listed in the update notes...

I just did the update and here's the new (old) import panel...
