Hi,

I have recorded a couple of time lapse videos using my new nx500. None of the videos seem to play on my Mac or iPhone I keep getting this file isn't supported even thought it down as MP4. Am I missing something? Do you I need to download a conventor for the UHD clips too?

Thanks in advance.

Mohamed

Only time lapse or any movie? You probably just miss the right codec. mp4 is only a container, it does not automatically mean you can decode what is in it. MPC-hc with latest LAV codecs plays stuff well (on windows, not sure about mac, probably latest VLC).

Thanks for the advice, only the time lapse since it's the only thing I have tried to record. Will download the recommended player.

I haven't tried an in camera time lapse yet, but regular footage is encoded h.265 which most things can't play yet. You'll need to transcode it with a program such as rocky Mountain movie converter first.

It would make sense that they encode the time-lapse the same way.

Transcode it and you'll be good to go.

Try POT player ..it is free

Thanks finally got it to work by converting it using Samsung movie software. It didn't look great I must say even when using HD pro quality.
