I am.

70% sure 30% undecided

I have mine pre ordered months ago, can't wait. Also waiting for the 5dsr.

I want to, but I want to see how the high ISO and video quality compares to the A7s

I am not. I want A7R II with similar body and weight to A7R

I ask this question for several reasons. Curiosity was at the top. Also, I am about to preorder a camera I really haven't seen anything about save some video reviews and a few samples. It is a bit of a leap for Sony to put out the pre-order welcome mat so early. I was curious how many would step out on faith. I know the a7ii has made me a believer in Sony and hope the a7r ii won't disappoint.

Not me. I already have a Nikon D750, Sony A6000 & A7. If I can't take good pictures with those, the A7RII is not going to help me.

I preordered both the RX100 I and the RX100 II. I wasn't disappointed.

I haven't totally made up my mind, but I think I will preorder the A7R II.

Do you use your Nikon lenses with the A7? How do they work? I've got a D600 and thinking about buying the A7RII.

Can everyone please hold off their orders for a few minutes tomorrow morning so I can get in first? Thank you so much.

85% pre-ordering at b&h. I cannot think of any negative for pre-ordering.. Other than the hold on the credit card, I think you can cancel if bad reviews start popping up and the camera hasn't shipped.

I'm going to wait till full reviews come out. I'm interested to see ISO improvement (by how much it is better?) and EF Canon lenses AF speed and accuracy (later bothers me a little, since it turns out in this mode A7RII will use PDAF only, no CDAF - and that means possible difficulties in low light and inaccurate AF - though maybe Sony solved these issues somehow). Also, I'm interested to see if Sony will offer some high IQ mid-range zoom closer to Christmas.

Finally, I'm going to wait for sales and discounts, possibly used/refurbished availability for closer to $2500 would be nice. Also, I will buy it together with 4K tv (at least 70'' or even 80'') otherwise 4K in that camera will be wasted and it'll be a shame. So maybe closer to end of 2015 or beginning of 2016. When the dust settles and Sony will present roadmap for 8 new FE lenses.

I don't see a point to rush unless you NEED it for work or you have lot's of money. Maybe my approach is more conservative, but it is what it is.

P.S. I also wish that Sony would make a 2000mAh battery using new Li-Po materials, because current battery is a joke - it's still using old tech. I'm sure Sony can do that and solve battery problem. Together with lossless RAW (which will be solved most probably till the end of 2015) these 2 issues are the only ones left.

Li-Po materials? Nice. Maybe later?

I sure hope so. it seems a lot of users complained about lossy RAW and Sony finally listened and answered. I'm sure this issue will be solved via FW update within this year timeframe.

it's funny that the only other issue left is battery life. If Sony solves that - then there's nothing left to complain. Ideal camera! And I'm sure Sony can make a higher capacity Li-Po battery faster than I can spell alphabet. Price it higher and they will sell very very good for those who need it. If they want to. IF.

I'd love to but I think it would open a can of worms:

1. Next, I'd need a faster computer.

2. Then super big memory cards

3. A bigger, higher resolution monitor.

4. A higher dpi printer that can print 40" X 60" prints.

5. A lust for the highest dollar Zeiss lenses made.

$3200 is just a starting point. 'Believe I'll pass unless I win the lottery!

I will order based on the reviews of the camera. If it lives up to the specs I will order it.

I am too. But I consider this to be half crazy and probably reflects I'm feed up with waiting for Canon to deliver. Hope that there are reviews that I can check before it lands on my table to my regret if SONY has oversold on its promises - a far too well known marketing ploy in the photographic world.

Sometimes early adopters end up short so I cannot recommend this. Fortunately I can afford my mistakes. But think about it. ;-)
