The recent posting of some excellent "City of Light... and ... Dark" photographs by Paul20, caused me to moan "Why it's not late November yet, why I'm not in Venice?".

Thus, a short dip into the three visits ago shots folders (March, 2012) and some memories are back.

All shots by D-Lux 4.

Two very reasonable questions to ask Alex !!!

All of these images have lovely sets of rich colours and are very evocative. I am particularly fond of number 2.

Thanks for allowing us to travel to Venice with you. My favorite image is number four, but they all were well done.

Nice pictures Alex! Love the colors.

The first one with the cat started to ring some bells:

I may be mistaken but looks like the same cat to me; there is something distinctive about it...

Taken in Venice in May 2013.

Sorry for the non-Leica image but at least it is a rangefinder style camera:-)

Regards,

jacob

Your images of Venezia with the DL4 are amazing! Artistic with great colors. I'm also still using this good old camera and have not yet found a very good reason to get away with it.:-)

I don't take a picture unless the picture pokes me and asks me to do so.

Alex, DL4 was a fantastic camera that gave me lots of enjoyment!... I see how masterly you used it. I really like this series and the kind of lighting you obtain from them very much.

I really love particularly number 2 and 3. The mystery of darkness and shades are absolutely superb in these shots.

Kind Regards,

Nice stuff Alex with some really good pictures!!
