...Hit the sepia one which I never use, but here, somehow everything seemed to work for this one. The result took me back to the 40's! what do you think dear friends on this forum?

Filters have to be used carefully and selectively to get the best out of them. This one is spot on Rodrigue.

Very best

A fine try, Rodrigue!

This is how I would imagine Ely's gd, gd, gd mother!... ;-)

A very happy New Year to both! :-)

Hi Rod!

I like the motif, framing and the tone :-)

Since you are asking, I am not convinced about the sharpness in her face - for me it is a little to present. A little left push on the clarity slider could probably enhance the old time feeling.

Love the use on this photo. The tone works really well for the beautiful subject matter.

Best regards

Josh

it looks like im the only one, but......... i dont like the sepia effect at all on this shot. imo your beautiful wife is a very modern looking lady, and personally i think she suits a black & white offering better.

Now that you mention it, I should re-work this file the way you suggested for printing.

Very important tip here. thanks a lot Par.

Happy New Year.

Fine choice with sepia ... but then I am a sucker for sepia ladies in a retro style :) Recrop a bit to reduce the modern clothing :)

Love the looks -- both of the filter and the model. However, it doesn't look 1940's to me. Both her long, long hair and her assertive pose seem decidedly more modern to me. Timeless appeal, though, Mr. Zahr -- congrats to photographer and photograpHER!
