We also have 2 good sized rivers in the area, The Minnesota and the Mississippi come together by the Minneapolis/St.Paul ariport. Here are some shots of Minneapolis.

Taken from the Space Needle ride at the Minnesota State Fair.

Central Avenue Bridge going over the Mississippi. Just to the left are the falls and the biggest drop in elevation for the Mississippi River.

Downtown Minneapolis just north of where the previous shot was taken.

Taken from Lake of the Isles. The City of Lakes Ski Loppett with Luminaries around the lake.

Central Ave Bridge at night

Biking around Lake Calhoun in 20 below F temps in January with downtown on the other side of the Lake.

Pretty shots, but they all just look cold to this Florida boy. If I were forced to live there, it would have to be out somewhere around Excelsior or the Narrows, not in town. I'd also want a large fireplace and a ton of split wood stacked very near the door. ;-)

Sounds like you have been here before. The seasons are something I look forward to. Some of the older folk head to Florida and Arizona until the snow goes away. But they head back pretty quickly each spring. Fall here is my favorite season. Come visit in September.
