*** This Week Through YOUR m4/3 2014.07.19 ***

Whilst out and about for work in the Po Valley, I visited an area called the “Valle di Novellara” originally an area of swamps that since medieval times have been drained and the water managed. It is so level that one has the sensation of a landscape stretching out in a flat infinity.

The harsh Italian summer light was not too good so another dedicated visit is planned.

I really like this one Nigel. That broken shutter in the top right just makes it.

I think that the 2 deer shots are greatcatches and unusually (for me) I like the last flower shot - the detail and colour is fantastic.

The Scream - really well seen! I like your seagull too, he has quite an enigmatic expression on his face and you've done a great job with the light.

Very interesting shot. I don't recall seeing a venus flytrap in person before. Where was this specimen?

More lovely pictures Yaelle. The final shot of the cheetah is my favorite. The variety of cats is terrific. It's interesting how some of the smaller cats, like the pallas, look like domestic cats. I'm sure they wouldn't take to apartment living though.

Good eye to see those trees. I see The Scream in the first, but I don't know about the Mona Lisas.

Love the proud portrait of the cheetah in last shot. The first one is a brother for SuSu with those tufts on his ears.

Strange - 7 was an afterthought.

Mixed bag from the last week.

This was shot at sunset on an overcast night. I stacked ND2 and ND3 filters to extend the exposure. The color version lacked contrast as the shadows were overly dark, so off to Silver Efex. Shot with Voigtlander 17.5

I shot a bracket for HDR processing, but there was too much noise in the shadows. This is a single exposure where I pushed the shadows and exposure. Shot with Voigtlander 25

Yup - nice vibe.

Sometimes the title makes the picture and without it it's nothing, the last is comical in context, without the title it is nowhere near as interesting - something I was going for with my first this week. It's an interesting concept - that the title is part of the photograph.

This is fun. And clever. Who is next, Picasso? Modigliani?
