Happy with V1 flash

Well, I would imagine you could quite easily visit the places I've
been -- it's just a matter of dragging yourself away from your
business for a few weeks!!

Has the manual arrived yet? If not, I'm so sorry. I had heard
rumors that the APO/FPO mail system had slowed down terribly, but
this is ridiculous. I can get you another one if you want and mail
it express mail.

This sure sounds familiar -- I may have answered this in another
thread, but in any case I have found the colors to be quite
accurate with the V1, much more so than some of the other (many)
Sonys I have owned. I would imagine that something was off with the
White Balance in your store shot -- fluorescent lights can do very
strange things with incorrectly set WB. I would give it another try
if I were you.
