I've had my eyes opened by our friends at Canon. I own a 10-D, and love it, BUT I have been royally ripped off. I bought a BG-ED3 battery pack/grip about a year ago, and it stopped functioning. I looked thru the literature in the box, and there was no mention of a warranty, so I called our friends at customer "service". I was told that the item had NO WARRANTY at all, other than it would work fresh out of the box. If the item worked the day you opened it, and stopped the next, then you are S.O.O.L.! He told me that this was the case for many of the accessories that Canon sells. If this is not true, please correct me! If any of you have the grip with the original literature, please let me know if you have any warranty information for me.
I absolutely loved the Canon corporation until today. I just hope that the customer service guy was mistaken. Thanks.

10D, plenty of 'stuff', not enough time.
