G4 probably not used in naming since 4 is unlucky in Asia (kinda neat in taiwan....no 4th floor, goes from 3 to 5)

the g2 black was never meant to be anything other then a black
camera. it was never claimed to be anything better then the silver
one.

--Basically the G5 is what the black G2 was ... the same camera with
a little change and in black. Here the change is bigger as they put
the 5mp sensor in.

...there's no hidden way to the perfect picture
I just looked on the Canon Website for France. There is a photo of a black Gx as the link to the Powershot-compact models. Take a look.

It's not quite so extreme in Japan--there are 4th floors, but Japanese people do tend to avoid numbers that "end in death". My first apartment in Tokyo was numbered next door to 403 but was numbered 405. When the landlady built her second apartment block a few years later, though, she was confident enough to use 404 there.G4 probably not used in naming since 4 is unlucky in Asia (kinda

Put G5 and G3 in the above and , tada... review done. Still
betting $25?
The 5MP sensor cost dropped enough to make it drop into the niche
that the G series fills. 6 MP is too big, too costly - the camera
wouldn't fit the niche.

the pic maybe fake but I believe canon will have this cam out
shortly, they saw how many silly S50 buyers there were, and decided
lets do a G5 with little change!
Absolutely. See the pic below with insert from 2002 G3 advert pic.Hate to tell y'all....its fake.
Same darn image. I think I'll run a new thread with this... it's
getting a little long in the tooth here.

Even the surface lighting and reflections are the same.
