My camera bag has about $12,000 worth of gear in it. For that kind
of money, not having insurance AND protection is stupid.

Besides, to get a good rate you're going to need to do at least a
$500 deductable. Spending a few hundred on the Pelican and locks is
cheaper.

Finally, I'll also mention that you can only go back to the
insurance well so many times before it drys up....
