Hi, just have to get it out of my system.

I do store my actively used cameras in a drawer. In that drawer is a K-5 and a K-7. They exactly fit in height. If even the thinnest thing is under the cameras, I cannot close the drawer.

How do Pentax/Ricoh think I can have K-3 there? Outrageous!

I am only asking.

Put it under a metal press for a couple hits - you're just not thinking!

LOL!!!!

Lay K3 down flat on its back?

Or claim a bigger drawer?

Someone didn't plan ahead! simple solution, don't buy the K-3 until you get a new storage location that fits it!

Roland, I have to endorse this solution. If sanding the bottom of the drawer seems too much, try relieving the cabinet frame. This would be simple unless you have flush-fit drawers. You could even use a knife to whittle a bit, if you like doing things the 10" way... bash a camera :^|

Just take the bottom out of the draw - why are you guys so slow?

Apparently you need to buy some new furniture.

have a beer and tell wife to clean up your mess
Particularly liked the beer line - made me laugh. But in the interests of my continuing good health, I won't show your post to my wife.

You guys may well be joking about this , but at work we have a cupboard full of Nikon F3 cameras .

One of them was laid down on the ground at a job - then reversed over by a fire engine !!

It is now somewhat depressed in the middle , viewfinder squashed down slightly ( we call it the low eye point version ) but amazingly it still works !

While I am not a Nikon fan , and consider the LX a much better camera , you have to admire anything that can take that punishment and still work .

I can't imagine ANY digital camera surviving that .

He would tell you that you should be grateful to Ricoh for giving you such an opportunity to update your furniture.

Well more K3s for us! I wouldn't worry it probably won't leave your hands.

Still good to hear you were never planning to move to Canikon.

If a picture's worth a 1000 words, why have I run out of shelves?

Was thinking something similar my missus is from Yorkshire I'd need a new beer, New camera and new face.

Wouldn't be worried about the draw though. :)

How about getting a camera bag?

Kind Regards,

Spyros

Because I've made the same observation. That's how I always know whether the tripod plate is still attached.
