Why not getting the same camera again? Just buy an a200, a300 or a350 used.ruble50 wrote:
My a200's imaging stabilization decided to die so i think im left for it to be replaced.
Ive been considering the a37 but ive had people recommend the a57 and a58 as well.
Any one have some exprience with theae cameras and can give me advice?
Thanks
In fact A58 has a BETTER VF (same as A65) than A57, and best JPEG engine of all Sony's today even it is not perfect. A58 is slower on burst and lighter with more plastic ... but nothing affect how it works.thebustos wrote:
The A57 has a better quality EVF I believe, along with higher shooting fps, better video quality, and great high ISO performance (probably the best of the SLTs). Not that the A58 is a bad camera, but I would try and get an A57 if you can.

Good luck and happy shooting!
The A58 is also supposed to have slightly better high ISO even though it has a higher pixel count.daqk wrote:

I played with both A57/58/65 but I kept A65 for old flash socket, GPS, VF, and 24M pixel for its cropping power and I had no indoor noise problem so farThey all have that annoying picture affect button if you accidentally press on ... :-(
For some reason I never really got warm with the A4xx/5xx series and the SLTs. I would still rather buy an A3xx series body.mrmjs wrote:
I upgraded from an A200 to an A560 and then later to a 580. I was blown away by the difference in iso performance & dynamic range. I think you'd be happy with either the 57, 58 or 65 to be honest.
It depends on where you live. Here in Singapore you can find it as well new but not for US$899. :|mrmjs wrote:
If you call a few sony style stores you'll find one that has an a57 in stock. I just picked up a new a900 last week from a Sony store for $899. it takes a little work but you can find deals.
I want to go new because i bought the a200 in good condition with no signs of being dropped and no scratches. Didnt put to much use into it and took care of it and then this problem arose. Why not getting the same camera again? Just buy an a200, a300 or a350 used.ruble50 wrote:

The A58 is an A3x replacement. Other than the sensor, I doubt many A57 users saw the camera as an upgrade. I know I had zero interest, although the new model does have the distinction of being the latest and perhaps last SLT (?)...acdtech wrote:
The A37 and A57 were replaced by the A58 a few months ago. Might be hard to find one new. You might want to consider an A65. Depends on your budget.
OK, I understand. I prefer new cameras (and lenses) as well.ruble50 wrote:
