these photos I have quoted I think deserve consideration and comment. the first I am quoting is how not being careful in framing and point of view can ruin what would have been a terrific shot., unfortunately the girl acrobat is lost in the tree trunk. perhaps in black and white you can get some separation other wise as I said its wonderful the onlookers expressions and all.

this second one though is quite a different story, this is my favorite if this was a hockey game he's serving a two minute penalty for wearing a gawd awful shirt. I find its very funny great shot.

the third one you nailed the girls stand out very nicely and even though the background is a bit busy it seems to support the utter joy of the girls. again well done.

I am guessing I will not have a lot of company in really liking this last one but I do. a very well done elegantly simple and effective composition. Contemplating getting wet and fear of just how cold the water might be is a very serious and meaningful moment in a mans life"-) in any event I like it

Thank you for the comments John - I agree wholeheartedly that the tree trunk unfortunately detracts but one reason I kept it in colour was I did find the subject separation better vs b&w, but as it was the only pic I snapped at the time it's still an image I enjoy viewing! :)

The guy 'fenced in' was a hilarious scene to stumble across - and yes the jumper doesn't do him any favors! The seats were very clearly sectioned off, but he decided he wanted to sit down anyway and in his own way I like to think of him as giving a big 'F-you!' To everyone around him! lol
