Played with one at Best Buy and it was quick to focus and very comfortable in my hand. I went to max ISO and the images on the screen were very useable, not complete blotches of color banding and noise like my 50D. Anyone have RAW files I can see?

I recently purchased the 100d and 18-55 is stm to compliment my 50d for a lighter travel option.
I'm extremely pleased with my decision, my aging bones are really grateful for the reduction in weight! My 50D hasn't left home since getting it!
Prior to this purchase I had the Canon G1X, which had great IQ but I never got on with the handling compared with a DSLR, the 100d fits my needs perfectly.
As you mentioned, the high ISO images are incredible compared to the 50d, which I find unusable ( above 800 ISO.
I would willingly let you have some RAW files but not sure how I can get them to you?

I've just signed up to Rapidshare and am currently uploading 3 RAW files.
I will email you the link once it's completed, you will have to register with Rapidshare to get access to them.

The first day I got my Sl1 I took a bunch of high ISO images and images shot in contrasty light that as a friend wanted to see. I know you asked for RAW, but these are high res jpg. RAW should be even better. You'll notice several shots of the same subject and various ISO's. I did this for comparisons. Hope this might help. Also the second link is some shots made with the 18-135 STM in case you are interested.IceShot wrote:
