When I found out about "The Deal" on the EOS-M I went to Imaging Resource and downloaded a bunch of the raws they have posted there. I ran them through ACR/CS6 and decided for the price I could take a gamble.

I happened to find the 22mm kit locally at "The Deal" price and picked it up a couple of days ago. It's a bit of a learning curve for me after nearly 9 years with my 20D and I've never used a touchscreen on anything, but so far I've been very impressed with the IQ in stills . So much so that I just ordered the EF/EOS-M converter so I can use my L glass with it.

BTW, I've downloaded the latest software but haven't yet installed it so I'm still on 1.0.6. So far I haven't had any issues with the reported slowness of the AF, but I tend to be a bit old-school and take my time with each shot.

I actually used the EOS-M raws I downloaded from Imaging Resource as part of my previous m43/CSC research. I just checked IR and it appears they no longer have those raws available for downloading, just the jpegs. The TIFF results I got putting the raws through ACR/CS6 are considerably better than the jpegs on the site. But I'd expect TIFFs to look better than jpegs. Also, I used the 22mm/2 lens and IR used the 18-55mm zoom which probably also contributed to any difference in IQ I noticed.

Sorry for any confusion.
