Good price for K-30 kit?

sounds like a great price the 70-200 tamron costs 600€ alone + k30?

that guy should be selling that kit for around 1000 in my opinion. I don't think you will regret getting this kit for 800.

pay them the 800 then run and hide as for brand new prices your looking at round £1400. wish i found that deal somewhere! i'm still waiting now for the k30 to drop in price only cos the k50 is out

Yeah, I was pretty surprised when I saw this ad go up. I found it on dubizzle.com which is like the craigslist of the UAE. The good thing is practically all the locals here are super rich so they go out buying things without any research or regard for the price and then when they come to sell it, they don't really know how much they should charge and the probably don't really care how much they sell it for. I will probably be able to bargain down to AED 2800 which is about $760!! My only concern with the Tamron is the focus speed. I actually used to own a Canon 60d with the nifty fifty and a Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4. I had quite a few issues with the Sigma and had to take it to a local repair shop for sharpness and when I got it back it made super strange sounds when focusing. Then about three weeks later my house got robbed since I like to be organised and put my camera next to my school bag ready to take to school the next day I got punished by loosing it. But at least that gave me the chance to start over and invest into one of the systems that kept on annoying my whilst I had my Canon which was Sony and Pentax because they have simply got double the specs for half the price!! I guess now is my opportunity.

may I ask how old you are if you still go to school?

Hello,

I am currently 16 years of age. However I don't think I should be judged as some stupid spoiled kid that has rich parents and gets whatever he wants. In fact almost the opposite. Apart from one person who is 18 years old, I am by far the most informed and knowledgeable person when it comes to photography. I even run a photography club which includes spending ages making in depth PowePoint presentations and attend a club run by the more knowledgeable 18 year old. I also frequently attend photography seminars by well known pros out of school.

Anyway,

I have calculated that if I were to buy all this gear brand new now I would have to pay $2000. But I am getting it for $750. The Canon 60d which I bought (second hand) cost me $790 body only. So I think that if for the same price I get a K-30, 18-55mm WR, Samyang 14mm f2.8 and a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 (~$750) that is a pretty amazing deal. So essentially I am getting the K-30 with kit lens and the 14mm for free. My only problem with this deal is that I don't want to be walking around with a lens as big as the Tamron 70-200 on a Black Rapid strap or something similar. This is mainly because it is very attention attracting and will definitely make people get the wrong impression of me.

I am Not judging I am only 16 as well.
I also bought most of my gear By my self (my dad bought me the 40 xs and the 55-300mm).

Sorry, just thought that once I mentioned my age the next question would be: "Well why are you getting such amazing gear?" Out of interest, do you own a K-5 IIs or a K-x or a K-01? My magical powers are telling me you live in Germany. Am I correct?

I watched the Photouniverse review of the Tammy but do you think he was referring to the first and oldest non IS version of the Canon 70-200mm?

I currently own all three of them. I was going to buy the 40mm lmt but then noticed a great deal for new k-01 + 40xs for 300€ which is 70€ less than the ltd alone so that's why I have all. I am selling the Pentax k-x in the near future as I don't use it anymore.

I think he is talking about the older model but in one of his other videos he said its still not a lot slower then the new version. And the old 70-200 L was pretty fast as well! So I don't think you should worry about the af speed it should be quite fast.

actually half Scottish and half English we just live here.

The Samyang 14mm is a fantastic lens (have a look in my photo albums for examples) and I would love a Tamron 70-200 f2.8

Buy it then as someone else mentioned: Run and hide!!!!

I would leave the country just to be sure!

I have some advice for you young fellow (I am 38)...

Don't worry about what people think of you!

If you need to use a big lens then you need it for photography, this is more important than the impression you give!

I wish I got a steal like this!

I have a K30 and it is a great camera.
