Price hike for 6D

Just checked out online prices at Simply Electronics and they've jumped £400 in a week. The body only is now £1589 whilst Amazon are selling at £1669 - surely it's not just the value of the Pound dropping, have Canon raised prices in general?

Absolutely gutted too as I was just about to buy one too. May have to go for the 5D2 now which sadly is out of stock and probably remain so.

I'm in the same boat in the US. The prices at Amazon jumped from $1780 (or so) to $1999, about $200, and even ebay sellers jumped. With the 24-105 lens, the combo is the same price on Amazon as a week ago - $2329 (so the lens is only $300 more now).

So what's the price trends? The price trended down $200 since November, but this erases the decline. Any ideas on what we should expect this year?

The 6D has remained static at around £1500. If you are looking at Amazon 3rd Party Sellers it is most likely to be grey imports, in whch case consider DigitalRev who I have used for a 24mm TS-E II Purchase and I thought they were very good - and offer local warranty

Remember it's the overseas retailer's warranty, not Canon's.

These guys are selling the body for £1519 and since it's UK stock it's eligible for the Canon £100 rebate. They delivered to me within a couple days for £10. Not a massive saving but better than elsewhere.

There are four retailers offering the body under £1500 before cashback.
They are all Canon approved UK retailers so no potential warranty problems.

Strangely, the prices have reverted back to the £1134. So all good. Just need that final push to pay for it now.

Price for 6D body at Digitalrev.com at the moment is £1280.00 inc all tax/duty paid and free delivery. I've ordered loads of gear from them and they never let me down. Soon after ordering you get a tracking number, then follow it as it makes it's way to your front door (usually in a matter of 3 - 4 days!)
