She's a cashier in a big supermarket

Hi Jim,

Are you not supposed to be sleeping now?
I don't know why, but I expect people to always look so different.
You watch the news and see what goes on in other countries and then
you realize that people are people all over.... the drink coffee,
they work out, they work at the grocer...
Jim,

great observation. You are so correct with it. People are people, only environments and mentalities change. That's what drives people to go and see people on other parts of our globe.
Thanks Yehuda!
Thank you, Jim.

Take care, Yehuda

...Nevermind! ;)

Great shots, I asked permission to take portraits of rock climbers this weekend, they didn't mind at all. That is the second time I've had the courage to ask, and the second time I've had someone say yes. :)

I also agree about offering them copies, it just seems right to offer and some people really appreciate it.

Keep them coming Mr. Katz. :)

Cheers,
Dale

"plain vanilla" is right???
Nancy, do you fully understand what r-e-s-p-e-c-t means?

Here's a challenge, just for you girly...

How about showing the WHOLE WORLD some of your shots?

God Bless

Dale,

I guess that there are many more yes answers than no ones. That's, at least, my experience.

Thanks, Dale. And please continue to share with us your photos.

She's a beauty, but those lips!!! Arrrgggghhhhh! Such a pretty
face, such AWFUL makeup!!
Yehuda responded:
She thinks, I think, that it fits her. Maybe her husband/boyfriend is in the
same view. Who knows.
This one will give me nightmares. Oy, those lips!
Yehuda, again:
If so, you can concentrate on her eyes.
Wisdom and kindness, folks. We all should all learn more of the same.

I continue to enjoy your offerings, Yehuda. (just more 'quietly' ;-)

hey, I call'em like I see them. No lack of respect here I'm simply challenging the poster to try something a little more challenging and interesting. If you like them great.

Shalom Frank,

Thanks for you kind comment.

I'm not sure I understood what you mean by "more 'quietly' ". Please explain.

Have a nice day, Yehuda

YLooks like you get a very positive response rate, far more yesses
than no's. How do you ask people to pose? What words do you use?
Hi Eric,

I have a secret mantra for this, so don't make it public, please.

I ask "May I take yor photo?". The trick is to ask it in Hebrew!!!

Besides, I sacrifice every weekend a goat on my keyboard. That's all, I swear.

Have a nice day, Yehuda

Now I know what I've been doing wrong all this time. Looks like it's time to go find a goat ;)

One day I'll build up enough courage to ask people around my college campus if I can take their picture. But until that day, I'll keep looking at your shots for inspiration.

One question? Have you gotten yourself a 717 yet?

Best regards,
-Dan

Try to find a scapegoat. It works even better.

Dan, please try it and see that it works. People, as a rule of thumb, love to be photographed.

Before the end of April I'll have it. My daughter is going to bring it here from the States.

Have a nice day, and be "brave". Yehuda

Hi, I like the shot also.
If we sent this to a makeup expert they might say...
Notice the wide, lower cheek area, the large lips compliment that area well.

And rememer the person you said "arrrrrgggghhhh!" about may find their way to this thread. Maybe after a conversation with the photog and an exchange of emails etc...

Another very pretty girl if perhaps a bit overly made up for some peoples tastes, but I am pleased with her blue eye makeup and appreciate the look of her 50's era style applied lipstick. The eyeglasses and carefree hairstyle all add up to this girls personality. She comes across to me as a sassy, fun loving , happy girl. I'm in love with her already. Please ask her if she will marry me . I have money saved. (oops! never mind, here comes my wife) bye .

Hi friends,

I took this with my Sony D-770 and plain vanilla flash.

Enjoy portraits, Yehuda
