I hope someone can make a suggestion here. I posted my camera the day of the annoucnement on Ebay and no one has used the "buy it now" option. Nearly a hundred people have looked at it, but no bites after two days. I've sold many things on Ebay for YEARS and ever since the "Buy it now" option came out I've had great luck with selling things very quickly, especially items like this that are in good demand and the price is so good.

I've read that a number of people have done the same and sold theirs in minutes! I need to sell my D60 to before I can order the D10. I don't mind waiting for it to sell, but am concerned about getting on the waiting list for the D10, and my dealer's waiting list is growing by the minute. Any ideas of what could be the problem?

I love my D60 but do a lot of astrophotography, and the new ISO's will really help, otherwise I would not sell my D60!
Thanks!
Joe

If you're shopping for a used D-SLR, you'd be pretty dumb to buy a D60 now: you'd either want to wait and see how D60 prices are affected once the 10D hits the shelves, or get in line for a 10D yourself. I'm sure D60's will start to circulate after the 10D is available... but prices will tank.

I havent gone to E-Bay to check you ad but it could be price - condition - what shape is it in and how much are you asking? - keep in mindd I'm NOT saying that's what it is - but It's posible

I think it will sell. Mine sold in three hours last night for $1500. You should have no problem at all with that. By the way get on a couple of waiting lists now. You can always cancel. Most will not charge you until it ships. Good luck.

It's not a pic of your camera, it's a "standard" one - you're displaying a Hotmail Email and seem to be using the same type of text box layour the scammers use ..

I don't know your sales as I'm in the UK - but if you put up an Ad with photos of the actual camera surrounded by the accessories and leave out the Hotmail E-Mail (anyine can get one for free) or display a "real" one and say "Upgrade to 1DS forces sale" or something , you may stand a better chance ..

Also, I think you've priced yourself out of the game. With the 10D rumored to be available for $1500, how do you expect anyone to pay $1450 (or even $1360) for a second-hand D60?

Usually mint-condition current-model used cameras from private sellers go for about 20% less than the street price for a new one ($1500 - $300 = $1200). As of yesterday, the D60 is last year's technology: this slashes at least about another 20% off the price ($1200 - $240 = $960).

without any photo or camera specs. people looking for D60 know waht it is. Ye says perfect condition. If he wanted to cheat he could grab pictures from some older auction.

No offense, but most people looking for a camera in this price range have done their homework and know that they can buy the upgrade version for the same price you are asking for your D60, that after all is what YOU are hoping--correct?!? That you can pay for the 10D in full from sale of D60??

Hopefully someone a few weeks behind the times will see your buy it now, and still have the $2K plus price in their head, but I wouldn't count on it....

Only very dumb people don't do their research when they're about to spend big $$$ on something like new digital camera. Reports about new 10D are all over the net by now.

However good luck selling your D60.

First of all, even though you've been a member here for 1 year, you've only posted a few times, and mostly a year ago. This makes me think yours is a hijacked account, even here at dpreview. Futhermore, your name here is differenent than your hotmail name, and your ID at ebay, is different still. It looks like you do alot of buying and selling. I'd be worried about someone who buys and sells that much. What are you doing, operating a pawn shop? And of couse, the picture needs to be your own.

If I had to guess, I think it would be a scam. Sorry... just my initial thoughts.

Postal Annex can probably package and ship the box for 15 bucks max.

Its funny because a week ago people were selling used D60's for as much as 2100 bucks........USED. I want a digital SLR bad but there is no way that I was considering buying a used D60 for teh prices that people were asking. Almost the same as new? It seemed like people would realize something was going on with no D60s on the shelf. Its funny in one week the ebay avg used D60 price drops 500 bucks.
