5 days in DC

Hi all,

Went to DC on business last week. I had one day free for some photography, naturally it snowed and sleeted on that day but I managed to take some pics.

Went out at night

Saw some politicians

Went to the Air & Space Museum

Paid my respects

Told you the weather was lousy

Wow...I really like these Harry! I love the Vietnam War Memorial shot. The weather echoes the memorial. I also like the trees against the image in the 1st photo. Nice job!

Thanks for sharing the day! I especially like those last two - great. I'm not sure I visualize where you were or what I'm looking at in the last one? I'd hope for lousy weather more often! ;-)

Excellent. The top shot has gorgeous detail and exposure for a night shot. The branches in front and the tilt are distracting. The second shot...well, I'm not a fan.

Good photography, anyway! The last one is HUGE! This is definitely photo of the day material all over the place. Congratulations.

I'd second the motion to make the last shot the photo of the day, except I'd make it week or month. I'm sad to admit I"m not sure what the building is, but guess it is the Capitol dome. I've never been there in person. A truly nice image, made more impressive by the weather.

Not a fan of Ted, but it's certainly cool to get a good picture of someone famous.

Awesome pics, Harry...you certainly made the most of a "dull" situation.

I'd have to agree with many of the other posters: Ted's gotta go. I live about 3 miles from the Kennedy Compound in Hyannisport, and I see him several times a summer, usually out on the water...enough is enough!

Geez, I post a few shots, wake up to find my car buried in snow, have a cup of coffee & check on STF before I go out and shovel and what do I find? Folks ganging up on poor old Teddy. I'm warning you that I have about 20 shots of Ted and will start posting them unless you all back off!

As I can see, you don't waist your time

I like all of your posts and as for me, Ted's photo is very interesting (maybe because I live in Russia and do not see him often on TV).
His mimicry says something.
Afraid it sounds "God, how tired I am of this" or something of that kind.
