This past weekend, my wife had a “Triathlon” race in Bethany Beach, Delaware .

She had to start with swimming in the Ocean at the sunrise and we were already there when it was still dark. It was a gorgeous time of the day and the waves were unusually wild. I took a few shots that I would like to share a few with you.

Hello There , Louis.

Talking about mastering B/W ;You out did yourself on the first one.A great dramatic shot.I love that side light in the second. Then the followup shots awaiting their Start.

You don't need a Leica M .You are doing just fine with the DL5.Warmest greetings.JB.

Louis,

these are all very nice, but i like most the first. love your pp and the way you captured that moody day.

Beautiful Louis! I particularly like the dramatic atmosphere of the first one (when do you give a master class on B&W conversion?) but the light on the others is great too.

And congrats to your wife - the triathlon is still on my to-do list, far on the horizon...

Mon Très Cher Louis,

2-word! Visually spectacular! The ocean you really succeeds. Your framing and the beautiful light captured Doone me the impression of being alongside these athletes.

Very impressive, and you have captured the atmosphere of this triathlon perfectly.
I hope your wife got what she deserves surely.
Because this type of discipline is rather challenging enough ...

I also know that in addition to being an artist, you're sporting ... And the two together allows us to discover your beautiful photos.

As always,

Hugues.

Dear Louis,

These are incredible! I love the first (B&W) one, but my favourite has to be this one:
The warmth of the colours, the wide composition, and ohhh that glorious light you've captured are all spectacular.

Regards,

Peter.

Thank you so much, dear friend. It was a really wonderful and glorious time of the day that started beautifully and ended very nicely! I was lucky for the great weather, and I am sure every one there was happy as well.

As I am sure you know, it is extremely difficult to compose and find right angles when you are shooting an excited and hyper crowd that is moving and running in every direction! ;)

There were also some very beautiful and healthy ladies; but you know, I was not "Alone"! ;)

Best regards,

Very nice, Louis!

This one is a lovely, atmospheric, moody image, thanks to your pp, I think.
Thank you so much, dear Raaj. I love shooting on the beach withthe light on the early morning that is glorious; but I could not shoot many pictures of the beauch and the mood because of the crowd. I am glad some of them became OK! ;)

Kind Regards,

Much appreciated, dear Dinko; it was, indeed, a very interesting photo op with hyper and excited people who had a very hard task before them.
you were there at the best moment possible, probably not by coincidence :))
It was really a wonderful time of the day. On a nice day, the light of the early morning is really something elase; and if you add to that the sound of huge rolling waves to the background; it becomes very dreamy! I envy people who live by the beach!

Kind Regards,

You are too kind, dear John. I was lucky to be there at that glorioud time of the day! But it was also hard to shoot with that crown running in every direction around you! ;)

Very nice images.

I retired from triathlon racing last summer. Your images makes me kind of want to get out there and race again. I guess that is what photography is about, eliciting a response from the viewer.

Good job.
Very kind of you, Mojita. This, indeed, a superb and also hard and beautiful dicipline! But believe it or not, it was also very tiering for me! I had to be at the departure of each decipline and get to the arrival before the participants to cheer! ;)

Thank you so much for your support!

Cheers,
