So I attached a Sony ecu1 ultra-wide converter and ecf1 fisheye converter to the Panasonic 14mm f 2.5 lens with Olympus E-M5 body.

Everything looks so harmony.

And here is a simple results:

14mm 28mm(35mm equv.)

14mm+ ultrawide supposed to be 21mm(35mm equv.)

14mm+ fisheye supposed to be 17.5mm(35mm equv.)

1st things first. You have a silver OMD, so most people hate you already. (just kidding)

Does it screw on like a filter? The Olympus ones needs a special lens.
On Sony E16 lens, it have a mechanism to engage with a on-off switch.

But for Panasonic 14mm, simply put it on and magically, it just fit-in the filter. It fits perfectly you can even lift the camera with it attached to the lens.(Not suggest you do it anyway :P)

The 14mm has a 46mm filter thread so these should also fit the Oly 12mm.. Hmmmmm Has anyone tried this?

Whether such a combination works depends on luck that the required distance of the converter lens to the fixed lens is just right to get acceptable sharpness in the corners.

I tried a Nikon WC-E68 on an Olympus 20mm f/1.7 (on my Silver E-M5) and the results were horrible. The WC-E68 worked fine on other cameras I used before, after tweaking the distance.

Full size originals would be nice?

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

God is the tangential point between zero and infinity.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

God always take the simplest way.

Man, you got it great: Metalic body and grip... and lens: whatever you like to see on it :)

Its nice to see different combinations on OM-D, thanks for sharing your experience and shots of course.

I just got this combo recently, not bad for getting fisheye and UW on budget!

Great combo!

And, hey, you got two Sony parts : the sensor and the wide-angle lens (sorry couldn't resist ;-))

Wow, great find!

If only everything was standardized to fit this way...

thx for sharing! the fisheye option seems really interesting for me and at around $100 at amazon is cheap to even just try out

Just to be clear...you put these on one at a time.correct? You don't need both converters for this to work...is that right.

And, are you saying the Sony converters screw into the 46mm filter threads, or just slip over?

Thanks for the clarification.

I want to say it's slip over, but the converter have some bumped edge just hold up with the 14mm's concave exterior silver neck.

you're right, I just don't know this months ago...
So those manufactures definitely have some movement under-water right? :P

Thanks for mentioning this. I've been having trouble with my Panny 14 and an Olympus WCON 0.7 with very soft corners. After reading about the distances put a few cheap UV filters I haven't been using, on between the lens and step ring (doesn't vignette in JPG). Presto, corners acceptable now!

To the OP: That WA sure looks nice on the OMD silver and seems to do a nice job.

"why so serious?": The Joker

I think someone else made the same discovery here about a year ago when Amazon had those auxilliary lenses at very low prices. Not sure which mft lens thay had it on so possibly the same trick well work with other mft lenses.

Sorry, I can't helo myself here. The same add on lenses also work very well on the Sony 16mm 2.8. I also rather remember pointing this out to some doubters on this forum about a year ago. They just would not believe that any Sony lenses could be any good and especially couldn't believe that clip on lenses could be any good either.

But a good find backed up with nice shots.

Olypanony batman !

Looking at your 2mp uploads, the IQ looks very good! Would be interested in full-size uploads.

I knew the VCL-ECU1 was a great accessory on the NEX (it manages to improve the IQ of the 16mm...) but I am pleasantly surprised to see how well it works on the Pana 14mm.

I might go for it. It is only about 100€, which is not a lot for a quality converter.

Equipment in profile...

The ecu 1 works fine with the 14 2.5 Panny. The fisheye is good too if one can live with semidark corners. But the ecu is a gem. It works well with the 16/2.8 sony pancake. I wish the pancake itself was as good. Could someone try the ecu 1 with the Oly 12/2 and see whether it fits? I haven't got the lens, just curious. And a bit out of topic, my carry anywhere camera for the last two years has been the EP1 with the 20/1.7. It has fallen many times and yesterday my two and a half year old son decided to smash it on the kitchen floor in a fit of kiddy rage. The sound was awful and the dent is very visible. The combo works fine. Probably it will die of sustained internal injuries. Do not smash your EP1s, they are superb cameras and obviously very sturdy. Is the ep2 as good?
