OMG, OMD E-M5 HDR's, LOL

I did five exposures, 1 EV apart and then processed in PhotoMatix.
To gain what, they dont look like hdr, a std image as mentioned above will provide same results, you combined 5 images to get to the same end point as 1 image?
How do you know he didn't have to use HDR. Were you there?

The best HDR photos don't look like overprocessed HDR. They look like photos with a wide dynamic range. Granted, it is hard not to overprocess with PhotoMatix and the OP did a good job. I like to use Bracketeer because it generally doesn't over process.

Don't take it personally. I think there are few people on the boards who are getting frustrated by the lack of hi quality, full resolution images from this camera. Each new set of images posted comes with the chance that we'll finally get some full-sized images to pore over, and when a set doesn't come with full-sized images, some people get frustrated.

I like your photos - nice composition, nice subjects. It would be great, however, to see these full-size so we can better judge the IQ.

Thanks for sharing them, anyway :)
I wasn't aware that I or anyone else had to post to satisfy your needs.

I didn't need to be, the DR is normal in a forest-woodland, always looks like that, you dont need 5 images to get to that?

Maybe so, but 1 raw image will do all that DR if it was upto it? We have many posters saying OMD has DR exceeding 12 ev, should be plenty to capture those images. BTW I think the images are quite nice, I am not criticising them at all, just not sure why you would need 5 images?

I am not using a RAW converter that supports the OMD files yet. So I have JPEGS at my disposal and that is what I used. I shot RAWs also, and will deal with them when the time comes. A single shot JPEG would not have been sufficient.

Money can't buy happiness....It has to be converted into photo equipment first.

Is it ok if I quote? :D
Why would you or anyone else post huge original files?
May be he does not want to use up all of the free space in the gallery for just a few "test" shots?
