Canon 5D Mark III Beta Sample Images

Oh herrreee weee goooo
Oh, yes indeed.
Download the RAWs and open with ACR 6.7 and be prepared to be very pleased.

If one has a stable of excellent Canon glass, desires a small but well executed and solid package, he or she will be quite pleased--I am sure.
(If you've got Nikon glass--the same goes for you and the 800 ;-) )

Not one full size image, and not downloadable.

Am I being stupid? But the largest images I can see are under a MP. And why are snapshots being copy protected? I don't get it.

You can view but not download all images at full size.

Agree....

did someone print those images in a decent size?

I am curios to see how good the prints are.

I already booked the 5d mk III from http://www.inchiriereobiectivecanon.ro for the first week of april and I will make some raw's and print them in 100x70 too se how god they are.

I Photographed the SMPTE NY meeting about 4K Digital Cinema Cameras last evening with the 5D Mark III using both flash and without and all I can say wow! I really am happy with the results.

Photography for both cinema and stills is moving forward at a rapid pace.

I had speakers from Sony, Canon and Red at the meeting and they all are excited about the future of the industry.

Look out! Things are changing fast. The only thing that remains the same is the photographer knowing when to push the button.

Thanks a lot for providing these, but..

Are they in-camera jpegs?

Or did you shoot raw and use the ACR6.7 update to convert?

Any other processing done?

I couldn't get one image to show up larger than my monitor size by clicking on "original size" or whatever the pop up says. I gave up after a dozen or so.

Thanks Mark, great effort. 12,800 is surprisingly good.
The noise is not offensive and in print those are going to look very nice.

Another 5D Mark III test coming up tomorrow night.
I will post it in a couple of days my full thoughts on the camera.
